Mr. WU Xiaoqing
        Vice Minister of the Ministry of Environmental Protection of China

Born in March, 1956 in Fengcheng City, Liaoning Province, Mr. WU Xiaoqing graduated from the Department of Physics, Yunnan University in 1982, with Bachelor Degree. He is an engineer and a member of China Democratic National Construction Association.

From August, 1982 to March, 1984, he worked in the Research Institute of Kunming Steel and Iron Company of Yunnan Province. From March, 1984 to July, 1986, he taught in Kunming Engineering College. From July, 1986 to February, 1992, he worked in the Industrial Division of Commission of Science of Yunnan Province. In February of 1992, he worked as Deputy Director of Scientific and Technological Development Center of Yunnan Province. In July of 1994, he was Section Chief of Division of Scientific and Technological Industrial Development, Assistant Director, Deputy Director of Commission of Science of Yunnan Province. In November of 1998, he became Director General of Yunnan Provincial Environmental Protection Bureau, deputy member in chief, member in chief of Yunnan Provincial Democratic National Construction Association and member of Central Standing Committee of China Democratic National Construction Association. In January of 2003, he was Vice Governor of Yunnan Province, member in chief of Yunnan Provincial Democratic National Construction Association and member of Central Standing Committee of China Democratic National Construction Association. In October of 2005, he was appointed as Vice Minister of SEPA. Concurrently, he served as the member of the Ninth and Tenth National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC). In March of 2008, he was appointed as Vice Minister of the Ministry of Environmental Protection of the People's Republic of China.
