2024 New Year Tea Party Held Successfully

On January 26, 2024, one tea party for students who stayed in campus during winter vacation of College of Environmental Science and Engineering was successfully held in the lecture hall of Mingjing Building. Prof. PENG Zhenwei, Vice Chairman of Tongji University Council. Prof. Xu Bin, Chairman of College of Environmental Science and Engineering Council, Prof. LU Lijun, Deputy Chairwoman of College of Environmental Science and Engineering Council, Prof. WANG Ying, Vice Dean of IESD and Vice Dean of College of Environmental Science and Engineering, attended the event and celebrated the spring festival with more than 50 Chinese and international students of College.

At the beginning of the activity, Prof. PENG Zhenwei sent his best wishes for the New Year to the teachers and students, and said that Chinese New Year is a traditional festival in China, international students can feel the Chinese culture more deeply by actively participating in this activity. At the same time, he especially emphasized that the college should also do a good job in caring for and protecting all the students staying on campus, so that they can spend the Spring Festival together safely. In addition, the college also prepared Chinese New Year gift packs for the students, so that they can feel the warmth and care from the college family.

The tea party also set up colorful interactive sessions, such as You Guess It, Song Singing and lucky draw. International students actively participated and won the prizes. There was also a session of writing Spring Festival couplets with Chinese traditional characteristics, in which international students and Chinese students wrote Spring Festival couplets and made lanterns together, and the scene was full of New Year's flavor and a joyful atmosphere. At the end of the activity, all the teachers and students took a group photo together.




This activity not only provided a platform for the students to interact and exchange ideas, but also demonstrated the warmth and humanistic care of college. It also allowed international students to deeply understand Chinese traditional culture and enrich campus life during the time that stay in China.
