IESD aims to enhance capacity building in sustainable development. Our faculty and resource people have very strong research ability. We have collaborated with UNEP, UNHABITAT and other UN agencies and launched many reports and publications, including “Net Zero Carbon Village Planning Guidelines for the Yangtze River Delta Region in China”, “Making cities sustainable throughrehabilitation polluted rivers: lesson from China and other countries”, IESD also has extensive experience in and capacity for holding international conferences. Since 2011, the International Student Conference on Environment and Sustainability has attracted more than 400 students from nearly 50 countries every year. IESD also conducts workshops and seminars on capacity training, which greatly contributes to South-South Cooperation and the development of Belt and Road Initiative.
