Event: International Student Conference on Environment and Sustainability and the 2024 Global Environmental Solutions Challenge
Duration: From now until June 2024
Event Context: Hosted by the United Nations Environment Programme and Tongji University, the International Student Conference on Environment and Sustainability (ISCES) has been successfully held for 12 years since 2011. Over 4,000 students from more than 50 countries have celebrated the World Environment Day at this global event for future leaders. As one of essential part of ISCES, the 2024 Global Environmental Solutions Challenge invites global youth to form teams and contribute solutions to the global challenge of plastic pollution.
IESD is extending an open call for volunteers to all students to support this event.
Requirement:
1.Over 18 years old, physically and mentally healthy, interested in environmental topics, strong sense of responsibility, and possess a team-oriented mindset.
2.Proficient in organizational coordination, language expression, and interpersonal communication.
3. Applicants with experience in participating in large-scale events or other volunteer service activities will be given priority.
General duties and Responsibility:
1. Assist in the verification and validation of student identities in the competition system, remind of work submissions, and assist in supervising the quality of submitted works.
2. Coordinate the work of participating students during the offline preliminary and final rounds.
3. Assist in planning and executing various promotional activities, including online and offline promotion, social media updates, etc.
4. Responsible for editing campaign posters, social media content, and other promotional materials, ensuring that the information for this event is concise, clear, and attractive to the target audience.
5. Collaborate with design students to design conference peripheral products, provide active feedback, participate in design modifications, and contribute to product production.
6. Maintain and update the organizing committee's social media accounts, and synchronize updates on the conference and competition, interact with followers, and increase the organization's exposure on social media.
7. Timely reporting on the event, conveying the highlights and achievements of the event.
?:Volunteers will receive a Volunteer Certificate issued by the organizing committee.
