The opening ceremony of first Sino-Danish Joint Conference on Sustainable Environmental Engineering, co-organized by the College of Environmental Science and Engineering at Tongji University, Department of Environmental Science & Engineering at Tsinghua University, and Department of Environmental Engineering at Technical University of Denmark(TUD), was held in Mingjing Building, Tongji University on May 20th, 2010.

The conference aims to better understand social demands in the area of environmental engineering, share knowledge and discuss strategic solutions identify mutual scientific and business potential opportunities and strengthen the ongoing cooperation and professional networking, especially focused on environmental engineering and sustainable development. The main topics involve the improvement of conventional environmental engineering technologies, novel and sustainable environmental process, environmental engineering and global warming and education of a sustainable environmental engineering curriculum.
