African Wastewater Treatment and Reuse Technology training course was held in Tongji University during 18-26th July 2010. The training course lasted for 9 days. 18 people, including EPA officials, researchers from universities, sewage treatment and environmental plant managers from Egypt, Uganda, Sudan, Kenya, Zambia, Tanzania and Rwanda, attended the training seminar.

This program has been supported by Ministry of Science and Technology (MoST) and UNEP, mainly focusing on the application of membrane technology in water reuse.
