Former President of the Republic of Seychelles Sir James Mancham

On the afternoon of Sep. 8th, Sir James Mancham, Former President of Seychelles, visited UNEP-Tongji IESD and State Keyboard Laboratory, accompanied by Philip • Le Jiaer, Seychelles Ambassador to China. Prof. Wu Jiang, Vice-president of Tongji and Dean of United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), Prof. Zhenyu LI, Director of Tongji International Exchange and Cooperation Office, Prof.Fengting LI, Vice Dean of UNEP-Tongji IESD, and Prof. Dahe JIANG of UNEP-Tongji IESD met with the distinguished guests at Run Run Shaw Building in Tongji University.
 

At the meeting, Prof. Wu Jiang welcomed Mancham and the delegation on behalf of Tongji University and briefed the development history, programma characteristics and comprehensive strength of Tongji, hoped there would be chance to cooperate with Seychelles in education and science. Sir Mancham appreciated for the warm reception from Tongji and recalled the cooperation of economic technology as well as sustainable development of economic trade since the relationship establishment of Sino-Seychelles. He highly appreciated international cooperation in Tongji and hoped to build partnership between universities in Seychelles and Tongji University. Then, Prof Jiang Dahe from UNEP-Tongji IESD briefed the current status of environment and sustainable development in China.

After the meeting, with the accompany of Prof. Fengting LI, President Sir James Mancham paid a visit to UNEP-Tongji IESD and State Keyboard Laboratory.
