Shanghai,Sep.21,2010—The 2nd Sustainable Development Forum, jointly organized by Bayer, UNEP-Tongji Institute of Environment for Sustainable Development (UNEP-Tongji IESD) and UNEP, was held in Tongji Universtiy on Sep. 21st, 2010.

Following last year’s success, the theme this year is “Eco-city, Eco-life”, which is further divided into three panels – Eco-city Planning, Eco-energy and Eco-building.

Prof. PEI Gang, President of Tongji Univeristy, Mr. Michael Koenig, President of Bayer Group in Greater China, and Dr. Dechen Tsering, Deputy Regional Director for Asia and the Pacific, UNEP, have respectively delivered their welcome addresses on the opening ceremony. Prof. ZHAO Jianfu, Chair Professor of Bayer-Tongji Chair for Sustainable Development, UNEP-Tongji IESD chaired the opening ceremony.
