Graduated from Wuhan University and gained her B.S. in 2007. She then earned her Ph.D. from Tsinghua University in 2012. During this time she also worked at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, WA from 2009 to 2011. She finished her postdoctoral fellowship at School of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering, East China University of Science & Technology from 2012 to 2014 in Shanghai. She also worked as an analytical technician for two years at Shanghai Tobacco Group. Then she moved to Tongji University in 2015 as an Associate Professor, working at UNEP-Tongji Institute of Environment for Sustainable Development (IESD).

  • 2015 – National Nature & Science Award, (the second prize). This award is the top science and technology award in China.

  • 2013 - Dimitris N. Chorafas Young Investigator Award. This award recognizes exceptional performance in a doctoral program and honours innovative research in the field of advanced data processing technology, life sciences and/or sustainability, with a particular emphasis on applied research.

  • 2012 - Eli Lilly Asia Outstanding Graduate Thesis Award, which is an annual award sponsored by Eli Lilly and Company. The award aims to promote and recognize the best graduate students in China who have made significant contributions in the field of chemistry related to life sciences.

  • 2012 - The First Prize in natural science, Ministry of Education of China, the highest reward of Ministry of Education of China for the best achievements about scientific research.

  • 2011 - 100 most Influential International Research Papers in China.

  • 2010 – The First Prize of China Association of Instrumental Analysis (CAIA).
