2011 IESD(UNEP-Tongji Institute of Environment for Sustainable Development)International Master’s Students’ Graduation Ceremony was held in Room 902,Comprehensive Building, Siping Campus, in the afternoon of June, 18th,2011.

With the academiccommittee announced the last student successfully passed the graduation defensein the afternoon, the classroom burst into warm applause, accompanied by thejoyful congratulation from teachers, students and friends. Subsequently, Prof.Li Fengting, Vice Dean of IESD distributed diploma and degree certificates tograduates and all students took pictures with all the teachers then.  

10 Master’sstudents from Mongolia, Nepal, Kenya, Zambia, Liberia and other countriesgraduated this year and they expressed their deeply gratitudes for the preciousstudying opportunity Tongji University has given to them.  Saruul fromMongolia, said the two years in Tongji University was the best time in her lifesince she was born and hoped to stay here for her Ph.D study; Phillip (US), whohas just got the Ph.D offer from Princeton University, said the unforgettablestudy experiences in IESD benefited a lot for his future development, andespecially thanked the inculcation from all professors and efforts and kindnessfrom Chinese students.  Sekou from Liberia, father of three children,expressed gratitude for the generous scholarship provided by ChineseGovernment, and said studying together with students from various countriesstrengthened their friendship, and hoped to keep in touch in the future, alsoall students wished him happy Father’s day in advance.
