During the second day in Rio de Janeiro the representatives from Tongji University and its project Tri-Green attended the “Coalition Workshop” co-hosted by Fundação Getulio Vargas, Yale University and UMass Boston in the main campus in the Botafogo District.
This event set the beginning of a 1 year project in which different students groups from Universities around the world will implement new and original ideas in how to improve the quality of life in their institutions and local communities.
The Workshop was based in the students presenting their projects and at the same time giving feedback to the others in how to improve their ideas. The Tongji delegation presented its Tri-Green Platform, that is expect to engage a 10% of the whole students population during its first year of creation. The use of social media, technical support from UNEP-Tongji IESD and the creativity could be presented as the main tools not only to reach a Green Campus but the Green Thinking Campus.
