On the evening of September 29th,2012, students from IESD and environmental science department attended the special festival party at the UNEP-Tongji Institute.

The party was prepared and organized by both international students and home students. And at the beginning, students from different cultural background worked together on decorating the room according to the theme of the festival as well as organizing a buffet with drinks and snacks.German, Kenyan as well as students from other countries presented their unique and intriguing cultural events and activities. After that, traditional moon cakes and dumplings which are traditional snacks to commemorate this culture were shared between all the international and home students.

This festival party, held at the beginning of the summer semester, helped new students to get involved into the IESD and know each other better. And also international students could familiarize with Chinese culture, and vice versa.
