“……IESD team, though we are small team, we have many dreams, we have different colors, we have same strength, diversity is our strength, come on let us fight together.....” was the phrase used to describe what the IESD 2012 team stood for during the 2012 sports meeting that took place on 23th October 2012, at Tongji University. The event brought together all the international and Chinese students to a more interactive space as they all participated in various games.

The Dean of college of environment science and engineering officially opened the event. The colorfully opening ceremony displayed talent from various students of different departments in the college of environment science and engineering. The IESD gave an exemplary performance by reciting the catchy phrase of what we stood for “. …though we are of different color, we have same power, diversity is our strength come on lets fight as a team…..”. There were various artistic displays of the various games that are at Tongji university, among them football, basketball, volley ball to mention but a few.

IESD performed very well in various activities participated in. Maily Teresa Phan, won the high jump for girls, while in 800 metres women race Li Zehua took fifth position. In the men’s 100 metres race Tilman Hohenberger won the fourth prize and later went on to scoop third prize in men’s high jump. AS a team we came sixth in playing football around the bar. The IESD takes this chance to congratulate all guys who won and the entire team for participation. Surely it is needless to say that the event was successful as it brought together all students to play together and interact as a team. Come on let us fight together, IESD forever!
