On 2012 December 11, the Awarding Ceremony of Praxair—Tongji Environmental Scholarship, co-established by Praxair (China) investment co., LTD and IESD, has been held in Mingjing Building, Tongji University. Through rigorous selection, eight excellent Master and PhD students from Environment College stood out from the competition. Among them, two IESD students, Ahamed Azizeldein Abubaker Abdelhafez, the PhD candidate and Tao WANG, the Master candidate, won the prize.

 Prof. Xiaohu DAI, the Dean of Environment College, Mrs. Xin QIAN, the Vice party secretary of Environment College, Mr. Yaping LV, the Head of R&D Praxair (China) and other honorable entrepreneurs from HACH (US), BUCHI Labortechnik AG (SWITZERLAND) and etc., attended the ceremony, jointly awarding the scholarship winners. Prof. DAI made the welcome speech, highly appreciating the efforts of the above corporations. Mr. LV addressed to congratulate the winners and encouraged them to make greater progress in the future.

 Praxair (China) investment co., LTD has been devoted to the field of Environment protection and Sustainability, especially to the sustainable education in university.  Tongji University has conducted lots of successful cooperation with the Praxair China, and co-established the scholarship since 2011 July, to encourage the young researchers developing better solutions to deal with the growing prominence of the global environment issues.
