Feburary 17 2013, six students from Tongji University arrived in Nairobi, Kenya, to attend the 27th session of the Governing Council/Global Ministerial Environment Forum from February 18 to 22 as observers. This year, the environmental ministries from all over the world will discuss on the subjects of Implementing RIO+20: the pillar of improving environment and sustainable development and Realize Green Economy, Realize Sustainable Development.

The six students come from UNEP-Tongji Institute of Environment for Sustainable Development, the College of Environmental Science and Engineering, College of Design and Innovation, School of Transportation Engineering, School of Economics and Management and College of Architecture and Urban Planning.
