On 22 March 2013, the graduation ceremony on Sino-Italian Master Program in Environmental Assessment and Integrated Management in Urban Area was held in the Lecture Hall of Shaw Building. The ceremony was hosted by Prof. LI Fengting, Vice Dean of UNEP-Tongji Institute of Environment for Sustainable Development and Vice Dean of the College of Environmental Science and Engineering. Prof. FANG Shouen, Vice Chancellor of Tongji University, Prof. Roberto Schimd, Rector of the Institute of Advanced Study-IUSS, Dr. Adriano Gasperi, Head of International Relations Office of the Institute of Advanced Study-IUSS, and Prof. DAI Xiaohu, Dean of the College of Environmental Science and Engineering, and Prof. HUANG Xiangfeng, Secretary of Party Committee also attended the ceremony and gave their remarks. Five graduates received the Graduate Certificates from Prof. FANG Shouen and Prof. Roberto Schimd. Prof. FANG Shouen also gave his congratulations and wishes to the young graduates.

The Sino-Italian Master Program in Environmental Assessment and Integrated Management in Urban Area was established during Shanghai Expo in 2010, with a mission to train the talents to address the complicated environmental challenges regarding relevant policies understanding and management skills. This program is 2-2.5 years and graduates will be awarded with dual degrees from Tongji University and IUSS. In June 2012, eight Italian students have already graduated and had their graduation ceremony with the attendance of Prof. Roberto Schimd and Dr. Adriano Gasperi. And the five Chinese students have also completed their study and internship at Tongji and Italy and graduated successfully.

Over 200 students of the College of Environmental Science and Engineering also had a grand graduation ceremony at Shaw Building on the same day.
