From 22th to 30th September 2013, IESD was pleased to hold lectures about water treatment given by Prof. Muttucumaru Sivakumar, from University of Wollongong, Australia. This workshop is a part of the Wastewater Treatment: Principles and Technology for Master Students in Environmental Engineering, and all the IESD students were invented to attend.

This workshop included seven lectures within a week. In this week, Prof. Sivakumar gave a comprehensive introduction about wastewater treatment. Starting with water quality, followed by water pollutant transfer and transformation, leading to waste water treatment in sewage treatment plants, ending in a brief introduction about water reuse and recycle. At the end of the workshop, students who have enrolled this course gave a presentation about four main topics in wastewater treatment area and took part in the final test. This workshop is open to all the students in Tongji University.
