Report on Market assessment of Sustainable Buildings held by IESD

On 11 November 2014, a report on “Market Assessment of Sustainable Buildings” was held by IESD in Tongji University. Ben Elder, the Global Director of Valuation & EQS of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), explained the standards of sustainable building and business property and discussed with attendants.

The report probed into the issues, including sustainability encompasses a wide range of physical, social, environmental and economic factors that can impact on value and of which valuers should be aware. Mr. Elder introduced the Global Sustainability and Commercial Property Valuation, a guide book for international standards of sustainable assets evaluation, covering fields of energy efficiency, climate, designing, construction and structure, transportation accessibility, management and financial considerations, among others.
