The opening ceremony of Sudan Training Program on Recycle Waste Management was launched in Tongji University on November 28, 2014.

The training course will last two weeks, hosted by the School of Environmental Science and Engineering at Tongji University and the UNEP-Tongji Institute of Environment for Sustainable Development (IESD). 12 staff from Sudan Academy of Science attended the training course. This training will focus on management of solid waste, water resource management, food waste treatment and disposal and sustainable development of China etc. At the same time, participants have visited Suzhou waste disposal base and Shanghai Qingpu wastewater plant, which is aimed at further strengthening the participants’ mastery of management of solid waste, and make them understand more deeply about the development status of China on these fields.
