The graduation ceremony for 2012 IESD PhD Candidates and 2013 IESD Master Candidates was held at the lobby of Ruian Building on June 5th, 2015. The ceremony was hosted by Prof. LI Fengting, the Vice dean of IESD. The UN Assistant Secretary–General, Deputy Executive Director of UNEP, Mr. Ibrahim Thiaw, and Prof. Wu Jiang, Vice President of Tongji University and the Dean of IESD, attended and delivered their congratulation to all the graduates. Ms. QIAN Xin, Deputy Party Chief of College of Environmental Science and Engineering, attended and send her congratulations too.

Prof. Wu recalled the progress IESD has made in the last 13 years on academic communication, education, and international cooperation, showing his sincerely great expectations to all the IESD young graduates. Mr. Ibrahim Thiaw emphasized the purposes and aims of the academic and education collaboration by UNEP, and expressed her strong support and appreciation to Tongji’s consistent endeavor for cultivating future leaders and policy-makers in the environment field. Warm congratulations and encouragement was expressed to all the graduates from all around the world, encouraging them to move forward to the future careers of global environmental protection and sustainability.

After the speeches, the graduates went up one by one to get their certifications, and accepted the blessing and wishes from the leaders and teachers. Group photos were taken then.
