In order to promote the creativity of Meteorological Technology and the reform of talent mechanism, take advantage of Shanghai high education and research’s abundant resources, meteorological talents and location and build a new Collaborative innovation mechanism of production, learning, research and use, on November 30,2015, the first conference of Shanghai Meteorological Technological Joint Centre and Science and Technology Advisory Committee which is co-launched by Shanghai Meteorological Administration, Tongji University, East China Normal University (ECNU) and Fudan University is held on the 2nd floor of Shanghai Meteorological Administration. Vice president Wu Jiang, represented Tongji University has attended the signing ceremony and given a speech.

The director of Shanghai Meteorological administration Zhang Zhenlin, vice president of ECNU Wang Rongming, vice president of Fudan University Gui Yonghao and associate director of Shanghai Municipal Education Commission Yuan Wen, second director of Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipality Ma Xingfa and vice inspector Zhang Yuetang Division of science and technology and climate change, China Meteorological Administration have also attended and addressed the meeting.

The future work objectives, main tasks and running mechanism of Shanghai Meteorological Technological Joint Centre are fully discussed at the conference. The centre is going to explore and build a new mechanism which talents of administrations and universities and science and technology resources are deeply integrated. And the centre plans to lead and gather Shanghai high schools (Research Institutes) advanced science and talents resources to break through and develop city meteorological service at the core of disasters risk control, production transformation and discipline construction. Also the centre provides a solid support for meteorological science’s progress and Shanghai modern meteorological service system and aims to contribute to Shanghai science and Technology Innovation Center and National Meteorological Science and technology innovation system construction

Academician Xu Xiangde of Chinese Academy of Meteorological, Academician Lv Daren of Institute of Atmospheric Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences and dean Liu Minjun of college of Geography Science, ECNU are specially invited and respectively delivers professional reports on the topic of “Atmospheric environment of regional urban agglomeration and meteorological disaster research progress”, “multi-level Urban meteorological science and technology development and talents cultivation” and “Research on urban safety and comprehensive disaster prevention system”.
