The training programme on Environmental Supervision Capability Enhancement for Inner Mongolia was started by an opening ceremony in Tongji University on 14th Nov, 2017. Director of Supervision Center of Environmental Protection in eastern Inner Mongolia, Mr. Zhang Baocheng, and Deputy Dean of UN Environment-Tongji Institute of Environment for Sustainable Development and Vice Dean of College of Environmental Science and Engineering, Prof. LI Fengting made remarks respectively.
This training programme would last for one week. It is hosted by Environmental protection department in Inner Mongolia and Supervision Center of Environmental Protection in eastern Inner Mongolia. UN Environment-Tongji Institute of Environment for Sustainable Development and College of Environmental Science and Engineering organize this training programme.
The staff from Supervision Center of Environmental Protection in eastern Inner Mongolia, Supervision Center of Environmental Protection in central Inner Mongolia, Chifeng City, Hulunbuir City, Manchuria City, Tongliao City and Hinggan League attended this training programme. The programme covered analysis of related policies of Environmental Protection, early warning and disposal of emergency pollution event in water environment, eco-civilization and green development, treatment and application of organic refractory wastewater, publicity of environmental information, judicial interpretation by the Supreme People's Court and the Supreme People's Procuratorate related to environmental protection. The participants also visited Shanghai Chemical Industrial Zone and treatment programme of Suzhou creek. The reports and investigations are aimed at improving participants’ knowledge and ability in environmental supervision and capacity of handling pollution accidents.
