    On January 18, 2018, Belgrade – The delegationfrom Institute of Environment and Sustainable Development, led by Prof. LiFengting, Executive Deputy Dean, visited Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, and theUniversity of Belgrade. Prof. Vladimir Bumbasirevic, Rector of University ofBelgrade and Full Member of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, Prof. IvankaPopovic, Vice Rector, Prof. Zoran Glogoric, Vice Dean of Department of Miningand Geology and Dr. Nedeljko Milosavljevic, Director of the Technology TransferCenter, welcomed the delegation and held the meeting in the Rector’s office.Both parties agreed to establish strategic partnerships and cooperate inresearch, education, exchanges of teachers and students and other fields withcommon interests.

    At the meeting, the two parties signed a memorandumof understanding and announced the establishment of the partnership.

    The University of Belgrade is a publicuniversity in Serbia. It is the oldest and largest university in Serbia and oneof the most important educational and research centers in South Eastern Europe.Founded in 1808 as the Belgrade HigherSchool in revolutionary Serbia, by 1838 it merged with the Kragujevac-baseddepartments into a single university.
