On 28 December 2018, the New Year Bash for welcoming 2020 was held in 129 Hall with full of awards, lucky draws and attractive performances from different countries. President Wu Jiang, and around 450 teachers and students from three Campuses attended the Bash. 

The President Scholarship awarded outstanding international students and this year, there were ten (10) IESD students got the scholarships. The awarded students from IESD are:

The IESD Office is pleasured for a good number of IESD students who got the privilege of the President Scholarship of Tongji University.

IESD alumni have reached various achievement in all walks of life.  They are active in international organizations (such as the World Bank, UNDP, ESCAP, etc.), national government agencies (such as the Chinese Ministry of Ecology Environment, the Turkish Environment and Urban Planning Ministry, the Ministry of Labor and Social Security of Zambia, Egypt Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Environment, Serbian Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, Ministry of Natural Resources of Ukraine, Ministry of Environment of Romania, Ministry of Economy and Trade of Indonesia, Ministry of Agriculture of Zimbabwe, Ministry of Energy of Liberia, Ministry of Environment of Ethiopia, etc. , NGOs (such as WWF), academic institutions (such as Chinese Academy of Sciences, University of Wisconsin, University of Missouri, Tongji University, etc. ), corporate departments (such as PricewaterhouseCoopers, Bank of China, Michelin tires, etc. ) and other industries.
