‘TransformationalLeadership in Implementing and Assessing Sustainability Projects’

Applications:Applicationsare open for post-doctoral fellowsfrom ProSPER.Net member universities, former YRS participants, YSA finalistsand winners, and young professionals from public and private sectors, toparticipate in a multi-stakeholder, interdisciplinary and intensive LeadershipProgramme.

For thoseapplying for AKEPT-ProSPER.Net Sustainability Leaders Fellowship: Pleaseindicate the need of fellowship in your application form.The fellowship covers all costs of the Leadership Programme tuition; returneconomy class travel; visa application fee (if applicable); groundtransportation to/from airport in your country and in Malaysia; accommodations;and programmatic meals; except fortravel insurance, which shall be the participant’s responsibility.

ResourcePersons: The programme will be delivered byleadership experts primarily from the Higher Education Leadership Academy,ProSPER.Net and from the local community.

Aims: Participantsof the Leadership Programme will:                          

·        gain competencies in adaptive leadership,which involves creativity, appreciative thinking, alternative scenariobuilding, and future visioning.

·        gain skills in communication and consensualdecision-making processes through interpersonal active listening activities, andgroup decision-making simulations.

·        learn team project development skillsthrough problem-based learning cases in the community.

·        Enhancing leadership qualities to serve societalneeds

 

SelectionCriteria: Participants will be selected on the basisof written application according to the following criteria:

·        Affiliation to a ProSPER.Net memberuniversity; YRS alumni; YSA finalist or winner; professionals from public andprivate sector working in the Asia-Pacific region.

·        High level of understanding of written andspoken English language.

·        An advanced understanding of sustainabilityand its relevance for own research or work.

·        Demonstrated leadership ability to work ina team environment and contribute to community service activities.
