Yanling QIU, PhD, is currently an Associate Professor in College of Environmental Science and Engineering, Tongji University, Shanghai, China. She got her B.S. in Environmental Monitoring, M.S. and Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from Tongji University. Her research area is mainly on environmental monitoring and assessment, environmental behavior of pollutants (focusing on persistent organic pollutants), methods and technology development for water and wastewater treatment, etc. She has been involved in many national key research projects and has published over 70 research papers. She has been reviewer of scientific articles for ES&T, ESPR, Frontiers of Environmental Science and Engineering, etc. Courses opened for undergraduate and graduate students include “Environmental Monitoring”, “Environmental Management and Policy”, etc. She has co-edited several books, e.g., Environmental Monitoring, Monitoring and Analysis of Drinking Water Quality. She is also a supervisor for master students. She had participated cooperating project at Department of Environmental Health Sciences, School of Public Heath, Tulane University, U.S.A. from July 1998 to July 1999 as a visiting scholar. She did her postdoctoral research at Department of Environmental Chemistry, Stockholm University, Sweden from August 2007 to August 2008. She is currently member of International Panel on Chemical Pollution (IPCP) and China Environmental Science Society.
