Deng Chao (born February 8, 1979 in Nanchang, Jiangxi) is a Chinese actor, comedian, director and singer. He is a cast member of the popular variety program, Hurry Up Brother. His recent films, The Breakup Guru, The Mermaid and Duckweed are among the highest-grossing Chinese film of all time in China.   

On 6 June 2014, as one of the UNEP celebrity partners, Deng Chao attended the event held by Tongji University and UNEP to celebrate the World Environment Day in Shanghai. At the event, Deng Chao shared funs when they were shooting The Breakup Guru in Beijing. He humored that, “When you watch the film The Breakup Guru, if you cannot find where the protagonist is, he must be deeply hidden in the fog and haze.”
